Well it's officially Fall in Vancouver. The rains have started to
come by and say hello; hell, I was even woken up by thunder this
morning. I've got some free time today, so I'm going to do
something I've been putting off for a long time that we've really
wanted to do, write. Our main objective in starting these posts is
to provide an idea as to who we are, and why we're the way we
are.
On a complete side note, has anyone checked out the new hypebeast layout? I like the new
layout of the main page, but the way they re-did the articles
section is horrible. I used to love to "right click -> open in
new tab" articles that I was interested in, but now there's no
point. Maybe it's just me.
Now onto what I was actually meaning to write; People I'd Like to
Meet. Too often I've read "who/what inspires you?" questions and
answers. I'm tired of people stating the obvious and saying they're
inspired by everything. So... I'm putting the top 3 people I'd like
to meet at this point in my life.

#3 - Mia
Michaels
Ever
since my girlfriend got me watching "So You Think You Can Dance",
I've had a fascination with Mia Michaels. She's one of the most
mentally strong people I've ever seen yet at the same time open
minded and thoughtful. I'd really love to join her one night, dance
up a storm, then sit back and pick her brain, all while smoking a
joint and sipping on some chai tea.
She's
that cool aunt that let you sneak out, but only to a certain time.
Definitely #1 on my most interesting people.

#2 - Kanye West
Kanye West is a genius. He's the one person that you either love to
hate or hate to love. Where one person calls him crazy, another
calls him passionate. He's playing both sides of the fence and no
one even knows it.
All bullshit aside, Kanye West is one of the most gifted people in
music today. Every move is a calculated decision that is
thought out to a level that few can even
comprehend.
You either get it or you don't. I'd just like to see who the real
Kanye West is one day. |

#1 - Jeff Staple
Ever since I started paying attention to fashion, Jeff Staple has
been around. He's the one person who I think has kept it real for
more than a minute.
He's always had an unbiased opinion on things. Don't get me
wrong,he definitely makes the pros, cons and his preferences
known, just on a level that is very calming (if that makes any
sense).
If there's one person in the industry who's had a direct impact on
the way I've turned out, it's Jeff Staple. |
Well, I hope you have
somewhat of a better understanding of who I am. Over the next
couple of weeks/months, the rest of the crew will be making posts,
giving you their input on different issues and preferences.
Back to the rain for now.
